RU First

WeRfirst campaign encourages Rutgers Camden students to take pride in being a first generation college student.  A first-generation college student is defined as someone whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor’s (4-year) degree.  In Fall 2016, there were 2,800 (55%) first generation college students on the Rutgers-Camden campus.

The purpose of this webpage is to inform new and continuing students about college and Rutgers Camden resources that are unfamiliar to first generation students. The goal is for first generation college students to build their skills, networks, and feel supported at the Rutgers Camden campus.

Join the Office of First-Generation Initiative Programs as we celebrate National First-Generation Day (November 8th) with a week long series of events!
