What is Summer Bridge?

Summer Bridge is an exciting initiative hosted by the Division of Student Academic Success. This program is designed to help incoming first-year students get a head start on the transition to college life.

Students will participate in activities that will help them develop skills to facilitate their personal, social, academic, and professional success in the fall semester and beyond. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to create connections with fellow peers, campus staff, and faculty that will serve as support network in college.

Summer bridge will be held in-person, on-campus at Rutgers University-Camden.

Summer Bridge Program 2025

The Summer Bridge Program will take place August 20th-August 27th. This weeklong program offers two participation formats for students: residential (if you signed a housing contract on campus for the 2025-2026 academic year), and commuter (an individual traveling to Rutgers-Camden daily). Participating students will begin building connections with staff and peers, develop goals and skills related to their career aspirations, and learn academic strategies.

Attendance is required for all programming, workshops, and events.

Weeklong Program:

WHEN: August 20th – AUGUST 27th

WHERE: RUTGERS UNIVERSITY-CAMDEN
(live on campus or commute)
