For Students:

FERPA

FERPA refers to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. In a nutshell, it means that a university official (advisor, instructor, residence life staff member or student services provider) can only discuss your student’s academic record if your student has authorized us to do so. You can find the FERPA release form here.

In the absence of a waiver, we are free to discuss policies and procedures, but we cannot share any information specific to your student. Your student will be the best provider of information about his or her academic performance. Students can access their grades electronically unless there is a hold on their records. Encourage your student to give you regular updates on how classes are going.

SAKAI

SAKAI is a learning management system that many faculty use to post information about their course. It includes features like lesson materials, quizzes for self-assessment, progress tracking, and learner feedback.

My Rutgers

Will create video for students about how to access and use their MyRutgers page effectively

Financial Aid

  • Term Bill
    • The online student account summary serves as Rutgers' official term bill and includes all tuition, fees, payments, and financial aid credits. The Financial Aid office no longer sends out paper bills in the mail. At the start of each semester, registered students receive an email and a postcard notifying them that their term bill is available to view online using the Student Account System.

  • Federal Work Study
    • Federal Work Study provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student’s course of study.

Federal Work Study jobs at Rutgers-Camden can be found via Raptor Link on the Career Services website.
